Understory Design is a small design firm based in Chapel Hill, NC. Through understory, I strive to create unique spaces that enhance the everyday lived experience. With an intentional design approach, I aim to develop honest environments. I prioritize function, texture, and personal artifacts to create a designed space that can have the power to directly improve the health and well-being of the person living in it.
I strive to be a lens for interpreting the client’s story, as I believe that good designers are collaborative. My goal is to articulate the client’s aesthetic in a way that invokes a timeless interior. I can develop and execute designs for commercial and residential spaces.
